Wonder Woman 1984’s Cheetah Revealed?!?

With the first trailer to drop this weekend for the highly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel, some promotional images are making the rounds. Once such image is this:

Yup, actress Kristen Wiig who is portraying the villainous Cheetah. The first image of her is leaving fans less than impressed. She looks like she should be battling Gem and the Holograms more than Wonder Woman. Maybe her look will be an evolution throughout the film…hopefully…

Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) is searching for artifacts which will grant him godlike power. In order to achieve his goal he hires Archaeologist Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig). During the search for these artifacts Dr. Minerva is transformed into the deadly Cheetah. Blaming Lord for this curse put upon her, she relentlessly hunts him down. Lacking the power to protect himself, Lord asks Wonder Woman for help. In order to secure the Amazon’s protection, Lord uses one of the found artifacts to resurrect Steve Trevor.

Barbara Minerva possesses great flexibility, superior speed, dexterity, balance control (capable of clinging to walls for brief periods) and enhanced tracking skills which includes night vision. She is a ruthless fighter, performing contortionist-type feats with cunning precision. She can use her tail as a deadly whip. Her claws are retractable and razor sharp. Her fangs can break bone and her bite releases an infectious strain of the cheetah virus!
