
Entertainment Weekly just released a lot of new images from this Summer’s highly anticipated sequel, “Wonder Woman 1984.” The film see’s Gal Gadot reprise the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman as she continues her mission of peace in 1984 America. When business tycoon, Maxwell Lord begins to wield the unpredictable power of a magical stone, one of Diana’s closest friends is transformed into her most formidable nemesis, The Cheetah.

Wonder Woman 1984 (also marketed as WW84: Wonder Woman) is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman. It is the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman and the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she wrote with Geoff Johns and David Callaham, and a story by Johns and Jenkins, and stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, alongside Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen in supporting roles. It will be the fourth live-actiontheatrical film featuring the title character, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Wonder Woman, and Justice League (2017); it will also be the second full-length feature film centered around the character. The film follows Diana as she faces Maxwell Lord and Cheetah in 1984.
Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the United States in RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX 3D on June 5, 2020.
