When retired Tight-End, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots shocked fans by jumping in the ring for a spot at Wrestlemania and going toe to toe with some of the WWE talent. Now if rumors are true, Gronk might be doing it full time.
Ryan Satin of WWE Backstage said that it’s unclear how WWE would use Gronkowski but that he could appear on WWE SmackDown on Friday, March 20 in New Orleans.
This fits perfectly as WWE SmackDown appears on FOX and Gronkowski is a football analyst for the network.
Gronk was a force to be reckoned with in the NFL. As a top target for Quarterback Tom Brady, Gronk powered over opposing defenders and could prove to be a great commodity in the WWE if they can reach an agreement.
