Remember when Lindsay Lohan ruled the box office and the billboard charts. She sang, she acted, she was every guy’s crush and a Hollywood “It Girl.” Then came the bad boyfriends, drugs, Paris Hilton, and overall descent into madness.
Lohan revealed on Instagram on Wednesday that she was about to release her first new music in 15 years, with a single, Back To Me, dropping Friday.
Lohan captioned the teaser: ‘The song is about rediscovering and accepting oneself, shutting out the noise and moving forward and letting the past go. Living in the now. “Back To Me” is out on Friday!’
It came a day after she teased her comeback with ambiguous video, which she captioned: ‘Im back!’
The video zoomed in on a ’90s tube television, playing static-covered videos of her over the years, including her infamous Mykonos dance video and her gas station boogie from last year.
She previously teased an EDM single entitled Xanax back in September with a similar video compilation, writing: ‘Family, love, the process of moving forward and letting go of the past.
‘To live and be happy, free of fear. Just to be grateful and open our eyes to our opportunities instead of numbing the mind.’
Her return to music comes 12 years after her last single Bossy in 2008 and 15 years after her last album A Little More Personal (Raw) in 2005.
