The arrival of HBO Max is quickly approaching and news has recently broke that Star Wars’ JJ Abrams company, Bad Robot, will be bringing the Justice League to the streaming service. However, this isn’t the League that has the likes Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman. Instead, it consists of some of the most powerful magic and occult characters in the DC Universe. Now the streaming series is still in the early stages of development so we thought, why not do a fan cast? Let’s dig into Role Call #2 Casting HBO Max’s Justice League Dark.

Zatanna is easily one of the most popular(and under utilized) characters in the DCU. Chopra has the looks and acting ability to bring her life.

Stevens has experience when comes to playing insane characters (Legion on FX) starring as the whiskey drinking, cigarette smoking, spell caster should be a breeze for him.

Gleeson has history working with Abrams on Star Wars and be pitch perfect in the role of the rhyming demon.

WWE superstar has the height and intimidating look to be the protector of the green. The short lived DC Universe series proved, a practical man in suit costume could work.

As the death defying supernatural hero Deadman, you need some who is used to dealing with the undead. Why not iZOMBIE’s Rahul Kohli?

Newton is an amazing actress with fantastic range and a mesmerizing gaze. She is great in Westworld and would dazzle as the mystic Xanadu.

From SYFY: Bobo is a highly intelligent talking chimpanzee who’s also a bitter and cynical detective with a defeatist attitude. I have great faith that giving the voice role to Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) would lead to hilarity.

To battle a magic team of heroes you need an equally powerful mystic. Feher is no stranger to horror or the supernatural having starred in both “The Mummy” and “Resident Evil” franchises.
Justice League Dark was one of the best things to come out of the New 52 DC Comics reboot. Hopefully Abrams can bring his magic (no pun intended) to the series. Justice League Dark is set to premiere some time when the HBO Max streaming service goes live later this Summer.
Stay tuned to future Role Calls only on the HipsterZOMBIEJoint Experience.
