FIRST LOOK: Darkseid From The Snyder Cut of Justice League

Per Instagram User Anthony_Mage:

Zack Snyder has recently tweeted a tweet from his official Twitter account showcasing concept art from HBO Max’s forthcoming “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” (formerly known as the Snyder Cut) movie’s main super-villain, Darkseid.

The tweet has Snyder accompany it with the caption, “He’s coming… to HBO Max”. On top of this tweet, it has recently been officially confirmed elsewhere that Snyder’s Darkseid will be voiced by actor Ray Porter.

Darkseid was created by writer-artist Jack Kirby, and made his first debut at DC Comics in November 1970 within the pages of “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen” issue Nº 134. He then made his official debut proper in February 1971 within the pages of “Forever People” issue Nº 1.

In main DC Comics continuity, Uxas, A.K.A., Darkseid is the tyrannical ruler and former prince of the hell planet Apokolips. He’s an immortal who’s also an extremely powerful and dangerous higher inter-dimensional God of Evil. Darkseid skills and abilities include being a genius-level tactician, a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, flight, teleportation, telepathy, telekinesis and invulnerability. His Omega powers includes the projection of his deadly Omega beams.

Darkseid’s ultimate goal is to conquer the universe and eliminate all free will and sentient beings. He is the father of Orion, Kalibak, Grayven and Grail, brother of Highfather, nephew of Steppenwolf, husband of Suli Tigra Myrina and Grayven’s mother, and son of Yuga Khan and Heggra. Darkseid is one of the most powerfullest super-villains in the DC Universe, and serves as a staple Superman villain, as well as equally considered that of the greatest archenemy of the Justice League.

Snyder and WarnerMedia are deep in discussions on deciding as to which preferred format they will release the now formerly known Snyder Cut in. Right now, they’re allegedly deciding on either that of a 4-hour movie, or as 6-episode installment, that will equally as allegedly run for an hour each.

What do you all think, and are you excited to see Darkseid?
