The CW has released a new set of character posters for DC’s Stargirl, this time offering fans of the latest DC Comics-inspired series to hit the network their most detailed looks yet at the titular heroine and some of the people that make up her world – including both heroes that make up a new generation of justice and the villains they seek to stop. These new posters feature, in addition to Stargirl, Hourman, Doctor Mid-Nite, Wildcat, Icicle, Brainwave, Pat Dugan, and Courtney’s mom, Barbara. Check out the posters below:
Stargirl follow the story of Courtney Whitmore who is a smart, athletic and above all else kind girl. This high school teenager’s seemingly perfect life hits a major speedbump when her mother gets married and her new family moves from Los Angeles, California to Blue Valley, Nebraska. Struggling to adapt to a new school, make new friends and deal with a new step-family, Courtney discovers her step-father has a secret; he used to be the sidekick to a superhero. “Borrowing” the long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.
The series stars Brec Bassinger (Courtney Whitmore aka Stargirl), Luke Wilson (Pat Dugan aka Stripesy/STRIPE), Amy Smart (Barbara Whitmore), Joel McHale (Sylvester Pemberton aka Starman), Lou Ferrigno Jr. (Rex Tyler aka Hourman), Brian Stapf (Ted Grant aka Wildcat), Henry Thomas (Dr. Charles McNider aka Dr. Mid-Nite), Joy Osmanski (Paula Brooks aka Tigress), Neil Hopkins (Lawrence “Crusher” Crock aka the Sportsmaster), Nelson Lee (Dragon King), Meg DeLacy (Cindy aka Dragon King’s daughter), and Trae Romano (Courtney’s step-brother). Stargirl premieres on Mondays on DC Universe, followed by an airing on The CW on Tuesday.
