The Doom Patrol isn’t done with the weird just yet! See what the team’s been up to in Season 2, starting with 3 new episodes on June 25.
When last we saw the Doom Patrol, Mr. Nobody was defeated and DC’s strangest group of heroes had been had been shrunk to mini-size and stranded on a toy race track. Now in an exclusive trailer premiere for season 2, we see “Robotman” Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), “Negative Man” Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), “Elasti-Woman” Rita Farr (April Bowlby), “Crazy Jane” (Diane Guerrero), and “Cyborg” Victor Stone (Joivan Wade) also have to deal with their feelings of betrayal by “The Chief” Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton), as well as their own individual baggage. They also have a new member: Meet The Chief’s kid! The powers Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro) possesses are a mystery, but could — no biggie — end the world.
Although Bowlby, Bomer, and Fraser reprise their roles from the DC Universe series Titans, the two shows are set in separate continuities. A pet peeve for Titans fans because it’s just odd why the showrunners chose to do this.
The Doom Patrol incarnations of Jane, Rita Farr, Vic Stone, Larry Trainor, and Cliff Steelemake cameo appearances in the Arrowversecrossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths“, which establishes the series as taking place on the world of Earth-21. Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, Matthew Zuk, and Riley Shanahan appear in their respective roles from Doom Patrol.
