Bella Thorne, the kids love her. She has a devoted fan base. And after watching Infamous I am still trying to figure out why. In this millennial version of Bonnie & Clyde. The film is a crime thriller film written and directed by Joshua Caldwell. It stars Bella Thorne, Jake Manley, Amber Riley, Michael Sirow and Marisa Coughlan, and follows a young couple who go on a crime spree in the Southern United States, gaining social media fame in the process.
Thorne plays Arielle, a neglected teenager trying to make enough cash waitressing to leave her broken home and backwater town. When she convinces wrench monkey, Dean (Jake Manley) into being her ride out of town they quickly realize they are broke. So they start robbing gas stations and Arielle who is the most thirsty for attention girl you’d ever meet, starts posting all of the robberies on social media. Why you ask? I mean that seems dumb as hell to any logical person. Unless you are doing it for the likes on social media.
Now I could go into the rest of the story but if you know the story of Bonnie & Clyde then you know how this story ends. Thorne and Manley have zero chemistry and only grow increasingly annoying with each dumb choice they make.
But the biggest flaw with this movie? Bella Thorne’s character live streaming the whole thing on her cell phone. If I was the mom still paying for the service I would have shut it off and that would have been the end of the movie…
Bottom line, unless you are one of the Thorne devotees don’t watch this, stay away STAY FAR AWAY!!!!
