Is A Zoe Kravitz “Catwoman” Series Coming To HBO MAX?

The Matt Reeves Batman-verse might be expanding. It was reported here on the HipsterZOMBIEJoint Experience last month that a Gotham PD series was going to be created for HBO MAX that would further flesh out the stories and characters introduced in the upcoming Reeves/Robert Pattinson Batman film. Now, a new report from The Cinema Spot reveals that a new spinoff series might be in development as well. However, this series would focus on Catwoman.

At this time, this is still a rumor. However, per the initial report, Zoë Kravitz is expected to reprise her role as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman from the upcoming Batman flick. Additionally, the rumor suggests Selina Kyle will not actually become the Gotham City Siren in The Batman. This means the series would serve as a sequel to the film. If this does come to fruition, it would seem likely Matt Reeves may have some involvement as well.

The timing of this rumor is no coincidence. Kravitz’s Hulu series, “High Fidelity” was canceled after only one season. This frees the actress up to do films or commit to another series. Kravitz will first appear as Catwoman in The Batman. She joins the likes of Robert Pattinson, who will play Bruce Wayne/Batman while Jeffrey Wright will portray Commissioner Jim Gordon. Additionally, the anticipated feature will include Colin Farrell, Jayme Lawson, and Andy Serkis.

The Batman will hit theaters on October 1, 2021.

The HipsterZOMBIEJoint Experience will keep you updated on any further details regarding an HBO MAX Catwoman. Perhaps we will find out for sure on August 22nd at the DC Comics event, DC FANDOME.
