Disney+ Recruits Sam Jackson To Reprise The Role Of Nick Fury In An Untitled Marvel Series

Samuel L. Jackson is getting set to reprise the role of Nick Fury, director of SHIELD for an all-new untitled Marvel series on Disney+.

Kyle Bradstreet will write and executive produce the series, which does not have a production start date or a release date at this point.

Plot details are unknown right now, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Nick Fury show deal with SWORD in some capacity. SWORD was initially teased in the aforementioned Spider-Man: Far From Home stinger, and the organization will have a presence in WandaVision, which premieres on Disney+ this year.

For those wondering what SWORD is, it’s the intergalactic wing of SHIELD. While SHIELD deals with planetary threats, SWORD deals with maintaining peace on the intergalactic scale.

SHIELD was last seen on the big screen in Avengers Age of Ultron. The long running Agents of Shield series came to an end this past year and laid the ground work for a SWORD series.
