With The Batman back in production, after previously being shut down due to Star Robert Pattinson contracting COVID-19, we got some new set photos. In these photos below we see actress Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle in a black dress walking along side crime boss Carmine Falcone played by John Turturro. We then see Pattinson as Bruce Wayne trapped in a sea of cameras and a group of protestors as well. Finally we see unrecognizable Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and someone in a green jacket with a question mark that may or may not be the Riddler played by Paul Dano.
Pattinson’s positive test was the most high-profile example of the hazards of restarting production during the pandemic, just as Hollywood is trying to find a safe way to roll cameras on movies and television shows during the coronavirus era. “The Batman” had itself only just returned to production on Sept. 1, after shooting roughly 25% of the film at the start of the year before the industry-wide shutdown in March. The delay forced Warner Bros. to push the film’s scheduled release from June to Oct. 2021.
Several buzzy projects, such as “The Matrix 4,” “Jurassic World: Dominion,” and the Disney Plus series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” have also resumed production.
The Batman is set during Batman’s second year of fighting crime and follows him as he explores Gotham City‘s corruption and faces the Riddler, a riddle-obsessed serial killer. The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the United States on March 4, 2022.
