Star Trek & Wonder Woman star, Chris Pine, is set to star in the next big screen adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons. The team behind the newest iteration of the film is fantasy epic from writer/director duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
The Spider-Man: Homecoming scribes have been linked to the D&D movie since 2019 but this is the biggest piece to fall into place since that announcement. This is the latest franchise attempt to bring the iconic Wizards of the Coast game to the big screen.
Pine’s announcement is just the first in what will likely be a star-studded ensemble cast, which will both mirror the group dynamic of a D&D session and kick off a new franchise for Paramount.
Production is expected to start in 2021 with additional casting expected soon.
