On December 15th, the virtual DC FanDome hosted a first of its kind virtual world premiere for the highly anticipated superhero sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Emceeing the event was DC correspondent Tiffany Smith. Fans from around the world donned their amazingly crafted Wonder Woman related cosplays and were invited to ask questions to the stars on hand. In attendance was the film’s director Patty Jenkins, and the cast of Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and Pedro Pascal.
Along with interacting with the fans on hand, the premiere featured an appearance by the always lovely Lynda Carter and the film’s composer Hans Zimmer. Stay tuned for a very special treat at the end of the premiere!
In 1984, during the Cold War, Diana Prince comes into conflict with two formidable foes—media businessman Maxwell Lord and friend-turned-enemy Barbara Ann Minerva while reuniting with her love interest Steve Trevor. The films takes place after the first Wonder Woman film but before the event of Justice League.
Wonder Woman 1984 opens up in theaters internationally on December 16th. The film debuts in the United States on Christmas Day in safe select theaters and exclusively for one month on HBO Max.
