When there’s a power outage at a safari reserve, Bear Grylls is called and he needs your help. The situation is dire: an escaped lion is headed for a nearby village; a baboon has broken free and is going towards the sea cliffs, and the power must be restored before more animals escape. Animals on the Loose: A You vs. Wild Interactive Movie, launches globally on February 16.
The You vs. Wild franchise is an interactive experience with multiple choices, where a user can direct the course of the story. In Animals on the Loose, for example, you must decide whether Grylls climbs a tree or hides under a van to escape a lion. The adventure lasts between 45 and 90 minutes.
The first You Vs. Wild premiered in 2019 and followed the success of Netflix’s pioneering Black Mirror special Bandersnatch.
Bear Grylls, Delbert Shoopman of The Natural Studios, Rob Buchta, Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Ben Silverman and Howard Owens of Propagate Content serve as executive producers and Ben Simms directs.
