That didn’t take long. While the SJW trolls laughed about Mandalorian star Gina Carano getting fired for a “controversial” tweet that likened conservative minded people being silenced much like how nazis silenced and rounded up the Jews in World War 2. Now, conservative outlet, The Daily Wire has signed Carano to star in and produce an original film for their emerging film studio wing.
The Daily Wire has already had some major success with their first wide release film, the school shooters thriller, Run Hide Fight (now streaming on VOD and highly recommended).
Carano spoke to Deadline and had this to say:
“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”
On the flip side, Carson’s former Mandalorian co-star, Pedro Pascal is now facing some heat from Conservatives over a misleading tweet he posted awhile back. Like I said previously, the rash dismissal of Carano created a dangerous precedent and put a target on EVERYONE’s back now.
Pascal tweeted a photo invoking young people imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps as a comparison to children in cages at the United States border. See the tweet below:
The tweet was debunked, the picture of kids in cages below the Holocaust one was NOT at the border but actually from The Middle East.
If Disney doesn’t take some kind of action against Pascal now, especially since they just fired Carano FOR THE EXACT SAME THING, they will be seen as bigger hypocrites than what they are already seen as now. You can’t judge one side harshly and then not just go soft on them but also praise their offensive words. Otherwise, we really are living in a Democrat run version of Nazi Germany.
Disney has no comment at the moment for Pascal’s tweet.
