Lots of great new albums are dropping today to get us rockin’ through the weekend! All of these albums and more are now streaming on Apple Music and Spotify.
MAERE – Harakiri For The Sky
Per Metal Injection (Yes I know I f’ed up the name of the band in video above you trolls!)
The key components of Harakiri for the Sky shine brilliantly on the album’s three singles. Opener “I, Pallbearer” introduces the core formula: a slow-burning crescendo to a sprinting blast beat, driven by melodious guitar leads and hysteric screams. From forlorn piano interludes to blackened post-metal explosions, the band’s delicacy, aggression and immensity takes full effect. “Sing For The Damage We’ve Done” spotlight’s this potent approach by juxtaposing Alcest frontman Neige’s distinct singing with some truly obliterating black metal garages. Indeed, Lechner’s propulsive double-bass drumming propels the triumphant tremolo-picking, dancing arpeggios and harmonic detours of “And Oceans Between Us.”
Women In Music Pt. 3 (Expanded Edition) – HAIM
Per HipsterZOMBIEJOINT Experience:
Haim have surprised fans on Friday by releasing a new expanded edition of their acclaimed 2020 album ‘Women In Music Pt. III‘ – featuring collaborations new with Taylor Swift and Thundercat. The three sisters teased fans with a potential team-up with Swift earlier this week, before eagle-eyed fans spotted she was credited on a new version of the track ‘Gasoline’ on a page on ASCAP. Swift brings a new dimension to “Gasoline” and the Thundercat collab on “3 AM” is mesmerizing.
Remote EP (Deluxe) – WALLOWS
Per Broadway World:
The deluxe EP features original EP songs, new songs “Quarterback,” “On Time” and “Another Story,” as well as previous stand-alone single “OK” and the “OK” remix featuring Remi Wolf and Solomonophonic. The remix was a musical reunion for Remi and Wallows, as Remi previously co-wrote “These Days” with the band for their Spring EP and lived in a house with Cole Preston while they both attended USC.
Neon Shark vs. Pegasus – Trippie Redd
