Concept Art Of Green Lantern From Justice League Snyder Cut Revealed

A Twitter post from concept artist Jojo Aguilar has revealed new looks at his work with Zack Snyder on Justice League. Aguilar offers a first look at the intended design for John Stewart’s Green Lantern, a character for whom Snyder originally intended an appearance towards the end of his film.

In the final scene of the Snyder Cut, a Green Lantern NOT Martian Manhunter was supposed to appear before Bruce Wayne. However, Warner Bros informed Snyder that they already had plans for that character and he was not allowed to include him in his cut of Justice League.

Trevante Rhodes was cast as Green Lantern, and as you may recall, he was actually rumoured to be playing the hero way back in 2017 (his response to that was, “It’s all rumors, man, all rumors”). Well, it seems the rumours were true, but we may never find out for sure.

Rhodes is best known for his roles in movies like Moonlight, 12 Strong, and The Predator. He’d have no doubt made a great John Stewart, and it would have been fun to see his meeting with Batman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
