DC’s solo Flash film might be a year away, but a ton of news regarding the scarlet speedster transversing the multiverse, Michael Keaton reprising the role of Batman, and Sasha Calle being cast as Supergirl has already been revealed. Now we got a logo for the film with what sounds like a musical theme for the hero. Check it out above.
The Flash is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comicscharacter of the same name. Produced by DC Films, The Disco Factory, and Double Dream, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is intended to be the twelfth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson, and stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash, alongside Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú, and Ron Livingston. In The Flash, Allen traverses back in time to prevent his mother’s murder and deals with the consequences of it.
So after lots of back and forth with directors exiting and entering the project, it looks like the main story will be Flashpoint. This will be DC Film’s excuse for not going forward with the Restore The SnyderVerse movement and will ultimately reset the DC Films scatter continuity which might end up being the best thing they can do for the struggling franchise of somewhat connected superhero films.
The Flash is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 4, 2022.
