So it’s no secret that Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League was meant to have a Green Lantern appear at the end of the film. However, Warner Bros said the character was being used in their upcoming HBO Max Green Lantern series and didn’t want to muddy the water and confuse fans. So at the last second Green Lantern was replaced with Martian Manhunter. The scene at the end of the film when Bruce Wayne is speaking with Martian Manhunter was meant to be a Green Lantern. It would have made more sense for the story since it was odd that MM, a hero of immense power, chose not to help the League but basically said “I got your backs next time.”
Now we got our first behind the scenes look at actor Wayne T. Carr in a full CGI jumpsuit which would have been animated over at a later time. Check out the images below:
HBO Max is currently shooting a Green Lantern anthology series that will focus on several Green Lantern ring bearers throughout the decades. One of which may or may not be John Stewart, an African American Lantern who Snyder wanted for his cut of Justice League.
