Mike Flanagan is making a name for himself as the best horror Director out there right now. Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and his adaptations of Stephen King stories Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep have made the man a household name. However it’s his current series, Midnight Mass that is the current talk of the town.
It’s a project he has said that’s been gestating for over 10 years. And it’s appeared as a faux novel in Flanagan’s home invasion flick, Hush, and his adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game.
Despite only making an appearance in Gerald’s Game, in the film Hush Maddie Young (played by Kate Siegel) is seen discussing the book with neighbor her Sarah (played by Samantha Sloyan). Sarah brings up the names of Midnight Mass characters Riley, Erin, and Father Paul. Even mentions the book has a shocking ending.
