Hello, Master Chief. Halo, the new original series, streaming 2022 exclusively on Paramount+.
We got our first look today at the highly anticipated live-action “Halo” and the teaser already has us hyped. The series will focus on the 26th-century war between the United Nations Space Command and the alien Covenant. The series stars Pablo Schreiber, Natascha McElhone, Charlie Murphy, Jen Taylor, Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, Natasha Culzac, Yerin Ha and Bentley Kalu and has a budget of an estimated $200 million. The Episodes are set to be directed by Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Liebesman, M. J. Bassett, Roel Reiné, and Jet Wilkinson.
The teaser is very short, offering just a few close-up shots of Master Chief’s Mjolnir armor (set to be filled by American Gods’ Pablo Schreiber in the live-action show), before a voice that sounds a lot like Cortana (Jen Taylor, reprising her role from the games) says “Hello, Master Chief.”
It’s been a long road for the live-action Halo series, which is set to debut on Paramount Plus sometime in 2022. The show was first announced all the way back in 2018 as a Showtime series, before getting shifted to become a Paramount Plus exclusive earlier this year following COVID-related delays in production.
