WWE’s Survivor Series once again rolled with the stale Raw brand vs Smackdown brand series of matches. However, the blah PPV did deliver on at least one good match that had great build up and history.
Let’s get into the results from the ppv that took place from Brooklyn on Sunday night.
The main card kicked off with Flair vs. Lynch, a match that showcased tremendous physicality, build around bad blood between the two women both inside and outside of WWE storylines. In the end, Lynch was able to outsmart Flair to score a cheap roll-up win while holding the bottom rope.
Reigns vs. Big E closed the show, with Big E looking to get revenge on Reigns for several attacks on New Day teammates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Despite Big E’s best efforts in a hard-hitting clash, Reigns was ultimately able to get the win, though he had to pull out every trick in his book to put down the WWE champ.
Those two matches were the standout moments in a show that featured plenty of good action but also many questionable finishes throughout the entirety of the event.
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
Lynch wins by pin after holding onto the ropes while pinning Flair–something Flair tried to do moments before but got caught by the ref.
Men’s Survivor Series Match
Team Raw wins after Seth Rollins pins Jeff Hardy.
25-Man Dual Brand Battle Royal
Omos wins after eliminating 12 people.
RK-Bro vs. The Usos
RK-Bro wins by pin.
Women’s Survivor Series Match
Bianca Belair wins for Team Raw.
Big E vs. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns wins by pin.
Raw pretty much ran away with this event to amazement of everyone. Hopefully Vince can one day realize the brand split is a dumb idea and has been a dumb idea for the last 10 years. Especially when you don’t have enough talent to maintain two brands.
