After zapping ghosts as the grandaughter of Egon in Ghostbusters Afterlife, star Mckenna Grace is showing off her vocal talents in her debut single and music video for the single, “Haunted House.”
The 15-year-old Ghostbusters: Afterlife star dropped the song Thursday which she co-directed with Danny Corey and filmed in an allegedly haunted house in Southern California over Halloween weekend.
This marks the Emmy-nominated actress’s first music release after quietly signing to Photo Finish Records last year.
While not initially written or recorded for the next installment of the Ghostbusters franchise, when the film’s director, Jason Reitman heard it, he immediately asked to use it for the movie’s closing credits.
McKenna called the song a product of a “rough time” she was going through in her personal life. Though acting remains her first focus a script she co-wrote during lockdown for The Bad Seed sequel has just been greenlit. Grace is still planting the seeds of her music. “I have 113 notes of song ideas,” she says.
