We got three new character posters for the upcoming Scream film coming our way in 2022. Is the marketing trying to make us think one of these three could be Ghostface?
Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette have all three consistently starred in every movie in the series since the original was released in 1996. Each has been given their own character poster for Scream, with the “It’s always someone you know” tagline teasing that perhaps one of them could be behind the mask this time around.
The official synopsis for Scream reads: “Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.”
Scream is one of the most iconic slasher franchises ever made. It would blow fans minds if they franchise turns their “final girl” into deranged slasher after 4 previous films.
