The Royal Rumble wasn’t the only thing that went up in flames Saturday night. After returning superstar Ronda Rousey won the Women’s Rumble, the Wrestlemania sign shot off a series of pyro which is something that traditionally happens whenever a Rumble winner declares victory. However, the sign caught fire and several fans had to be moved from their seats to avoid being hurt.
As the Wrestlemania sign dripped fire onto the evacuated seats, the sign was lowered and the flames were put out without anyone getting seriously hurt.
This all happened during Lynch’s win over Doudrop. So at least something interesting happened during that match.
Lynch took to Twitter after the match and commented on the sign catching fire.
“So hot I set the WrestleMania sign on fire. #RoyalRumble,” she wrote.
The chairs were then re-arranged on the floor and fans were allowed back to where they were sitting.
The sign then caught fire again after Brock Lesnar won the 30-Man Royal Rumble main event.
WWE loves their pyro and won’t let a little fire deter them.
