Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos is entering the MCU. He has joined the cast of Disney+/Marvel series “Ironheart” in a secret role. The series will be led by Dominique Thorne (“Judas and the Black Messiah”) who is playing brilliant inventor Riri Williams, who makes her own suit of armor. She is an incredible fan favorite character who many have been wanting to see on screen. Before her own series she will make her debut as the character in “Black Panther:Wakanda Forever” later this year. Snowpiercer” staff writer Chinaka Hodge will be the show’s head writer.
In the comics, Williams is a teenage genius who built her own version of the Iron Man suit in an MIT dorm. She debuted in 2016’s “Invincible Iron Man No. 7” and was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato. She quickly became a breakout character, and in addition to being the hero Ironheart, she has also taken over for Tony Stark as Iron Man for a time and went on to headline her own comic series.
No release date has been set for the series.
