When fans come together to create fun fan film projects, we see concepts and execution often times, done better than big movie studios. While the budget and acting may not always be of caliber with the big studios, you have to hand it to the creativity behind the movies that are made by fans. The passion and creativity comes through in several fandoms, including Star Wars, Batman, and Spider-Man just to name a few.

In this gallery we will take a look at the history of some of the more known Spider-Man fan films across time that are found on YouTube to this day. Some might surprise you, as there were some fan films from as far back as the 80s that were uploaded onto YouTube.

Viva Spider-Man (1989)

FEATURES KINGPIN. A Classic short film, with cartoon-type feelings, inspired by the 1967 cartoon. Acting is believable, effects are pretty good and it’s easy to watch over and over again!

The Green Goblin’s Last Stand (1992)

Features GREEN GOBLIN.
This is one of the first documented Spider-Man fan films, with only enough to count on one hand that may have been before it. This guy did his own stunts to swing on buildings! And back then it wasn’t easy to get a GREEN GOBLIN SUIT!

Attack of the Octopus (2002)

After having his pride injured by the Daily Bugle, Doctor Octopus kidnaps J. Jonah Jameson. With little to go on, Spiderman must rush to the rescue before it’s too late.

Spider-Man: Eclipse (2012)

Spider-Man has been captured and the road out won’t be easy in this fan film!

Spider-Man: Venom (2015)

Spider-Man seeks help from the X-Men as they help aid him with a solution for the black suit. The suit has a mind of its own as it takes over the body of Eddie Brock and becomes Venom.
