Pop superstar Dua Lipa is levitating to the big screen, making her acting debut alongside an a-list cast that includes Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson and more.
The Apple TV Plus film, titled “Argylle,” is part of a new franchise from “Kingsman” director Matthew Vaughn that will follow the globe-trotting adventures of a super-spy named Argylle.
The pop star will also provide music for the title track and score.
Adapted by Jason Fuchs, it is based on the 2022 novel of the same name by first-time author Ellie Conway. The film features an ensemble castconsisting of Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, and Rob Delaney.
The film follows a world-class spy suffering from amnesia who is tricked into believing he is a best-selling spy novelist. After his memories and lethal skills return, he goes down a path of revenge against the shadowy organization he used to work for, the Division.
