Lots of great new albums are dropping today to get us rockin’ through the weekend! All of these albums and more are now streaming on Apple Music and Spotify.
Unlimited Love – Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Per Consequence:
In a statement released by the band, the Chili Peppers say that on Unlimited Love, they “yearn to shine a light in the world, to uplift, connect, and bring people together.” That sentiment is easy to find on a lot of this album, especially considering the fact that Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante are fluent in each other’s respective languages, constantly playing off each other’s impulses and finding moments of brilliance both together and individually. Meanwhile, the album represents a conscious decision from the band to display a more mature, unity-oriented sound.
Leather Terror – Carpenter Brut
Per Kerrang:
Leather Terror is an album of pure, devilish joy from an artist who completely understands what they’re doing. It’s not metal, but it is. And unlike so many trilogies, it’s hard to imagine the concluding chapter here being a turkey. Not with this amount of bloodlust.
Embrace – Kill The Noise
Per The Music Essentials:
The album spans techno-tinged midtempo, adrenaline-fueled D&B, prog house, complextro, tear out dubstep, riddim and melodic dubstep across eleven expertly crafted tracks.
Kill The Noise teams up for heavy hitting guest appearances from the likes of Wolfgang Gartner, Mija and Ophelia Records 2021 Seven Lions bringing together nostalgic sounds from the early 2010s with modern sensibilities.
