Wrestlemania 38 is taking over Dallas. Texas this weekend the fireworks started exploding before the first powerbomb or a dropkick was ever landed. At the WWE Hall of Fame, Ronda Rousey stormed out of the ceremony when it was brought to her attention that her WWE Women’s Championship match would not main event the Night 1 PPV.
The match got bumped for the Stone Cold Steve Austin/Kevin Owens segment (which is odd that a “segment” would bump a championship match, but we are talking about Austin) needless to say this do not sit well with Rousey.
According to Brian Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, Ronda Rousey was ”furious” ahead of WrestleMania. It was said that she was upset over not main eventing WrestleMania 38 Night 1 and walked out of the WWE Hall Of Fame taping.
“She discovered she was no longer scheduled to go on last on Friday, and, in a shocking development, walked out of Friday’s taping before the Hall of Fame ceremony unfolded. Clearly, “cooler heads” did indeed “prevail.” She did the job to Charlotte Flair via ref bump shenanigans in a match Ric Flair has described as “the greatest.”
We will have to wait and see whether Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will face each other again, as it seems likely at this point in time.
Wrestlemania 38 Night 2 streams live Sunday Night.
Update:
Hopefully these “reports” are just rumors and not Ronda single-handily trying to bring back the diva era in WWE.
