Apple TV has renewed their hit workplace drama thriller “Severance” for a second season. The series stars Adam Scott, Oscar winners Patricia Arquette and Christopher Walken, John Turturro, Dichen Lachman (“Animal Kingdom”), Britt Lower (“Man Seeking Woman”), Tramell Tillman (“Godfather of Harlem”), Jen Tullock and Zach Cherry (HBO’s “Crashing”).
The series is set at a company, Lumen Industries, that aims to take work-life balance to the next level. Mark Scout (Scott) leads the team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.
Dan Erickson created the series and executive produces with showrunner Mark Friedman (AMC’s “Dispatches From Elsewhere”).Ben Stiller, who received an Emmy nomination for directing the limited series “Escape at Dannemora” directed the series.
