As the woke mob/cancel culture’s power starts to dwindle, they are escalating who they are trying to target in a final gasp of pathetic defiance. Last week, the Thor Love and Thunder Trailer came out and weirdos for some reason thought Chris Pratt’s Star Lord and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor shared a “gay moment” together. The woke mob fantasized how Pratt must have hated the moment because he’s one of those evil hate spewing “Christians” MSNBC warns them about.
When in reality it was just a funny moment in the trailer.
Of course this didn’t stop the angry liberal CHUDS from then taking to Twitter and DEMAND Disney to fire Pratt.
Naturally friend and director James Gunn came to Pratt’s defense.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy director responded to a side-by-side photo comparison of Pratt and Patrick Wilson posted by a fan, captioned: “Marvel. Hear me out. Just… replace him.”
In response, Gunn wrote: “For what? Because of your made-up, utterly-false beliefs about him? For something that someone else told you about him that’s not true? Chris Pratt would never be replaced as Star-Lord but, if he ever was, we would all be going with him.”
After a Twitter user asked if he was “cool with him being part of a homophobic church,” Gunn replied: “He isn’t. I know the church he currently goes to. Do you? (The answer is you don’t, but you heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone where he goes to church, so decided, ‘yeah, okay, I’ll believe this terrible thing I heard online about this celebrity!’)”
Pratt has been affiliated with the Zoe Church, a church founded by Chad Veach that’s modelled after Christian megachurch Hillsong. In 2015, Hillsong’s global senior pastor, Brian Houston, wrote a blog post about their views on LGBTQ people, writing: “We are a gay welcoming church but we are not a church that affirms a gay lifestyle.”
Not exactly hate speech, just a difference of opinion. Which in 2022 America, is hate speech sadly.
It wasn’t too long ago that Gunn was canceled over a series of Tweets he made and was fired from Marvel Studios.
I think when it comes to tweets and posts we all just need to step back and realize that the person on social media we portray is an exaggerated version of ourselves and sometimes we say and do things just to get a shock out of people. However if you are one of the mindless mob who takes the word of every blue haired tatted up weirdo on Tik-Tok as gospel you are just an idiot.
