This is interesting, surprised it’s taking this long but the time might be perfect. Legendary has secured the rights to “Duke Nukem” for a live action film. I have minor hope this could be good because the trio of Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, who are best known for creating “Cobra Kai” are producing the film.
For those who aren’t fans of the game, or don’t know what it is, the character was created in 1991 and was parody inspired by various elements from 1980s action movies, with the hero essentially being a mix of Bruce Campbell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, and Sly Stallone. He fights an alien invasion in Los Angeles, and the games would aww him travel from strip clubs, movie sets, moon bases, and spaceships while dealing with mutated LAPD officers and the Cycloid Emperor.
If the Cobra Kai team is able to get this film made they already have the perfect actor to be Duke Nukem, William Zabka who plays Johnny Lawrence on Cobra Kai!
Would you be down to see a live-action Duke Nukem? Let us know in the comments.
