From executive producer Emma Roberts, the young adult vampire series “First Kill” premiered on Netflix this past June, and we’ve learned that the series has already been cancelled.
Deadline notes, “According to sources, the series, which did not have the staying power of most Netflix hits, still did not meet thresholds for viewing and completion of episodes.”
The series and presentation was just poorly executed. It looked and felt like a failed CW show but with half the budget. It’s attempt to cash in on “woke culture” also felt forced and not very natural like other better LGBTQA+ shows are able to achieve.
